A new season begins!

As the season changes from hot to not so hot, fishing has begun to make its seasonal transition. Fishing in Key Largo moves from deep offshore waters to the nearshore coastal waters off the edge of the reef. Tactics also change from trolling lures & rigged baits to drifting with live baits & kite fishing. Our primary target is the mighty sailfish. Sailfish migrate through the waters of Key Largo and Islamorada from November through May. Anglers from all over the world visit the Florida Keys for a chance to catch and release sailfish on charters and during tournaments. If you have yet to experience the thrill of catching a high flying sailfish, give me a call to book your next Florida Keys fishing charter!

Red Hot Reef

Cool weather finally gave way to our typical 80 degree winter days and the reef fish responded. The Hunts showed off their skills today! They boxed 5 mutton snapper and several yellowtails for dinner.
